A majestic grizzly bear emerges from a shallow dive beneath the waters of the Fishing Branch River in Canada’s northern Yukon, one of the few jurisdictions that protect them from hunting. These bears dive after the large runs of chum salmon that arrive here to spawn, but notoriously hate submerging their ears as listening is their keenest sense (smell is a close second and sight a distant third).
