Ever feel like you're being watched? I was deep in the coastal forests of British Columbia when I suddenly got the sense that I was no longer alone. Often I can feel the presence of an animal before I see it, and when that happens I relax, stop all movement, and simply stare deep into the tangled green. Occasionally, if I am truly lucky, I find a pair of eyes staring back. Wolves have a way of dissolving into their surroundings, becoming indistinguishable from the roots, moss, and rocky terrain. What I wouldn’t give to see the world through their eyes and tread with the same invisible footprint.
