The evolutionary path that emperor penguins have followed is the product of the predator-prey relationship they share with leopard seals. This dangerous predator has pushed the penguins to evolve a bubble tunnel strategy to increase speed. As they rocket to the surface, they release millions of micro bubbles from their feathers in order to reduce the amount of friction.
